try to jump again when you touch the wall and then use left or right
No need to press jump and directionnal when she touch the wall.
I can't reproduce mario gameplay and sensation
so it's weird and flawed BUT if you practice , you'll be able to play like this

Actually the jump feels right, a thing that not many flash platformers achieve...
I feel good with the jumps too
